* * * The Belleville Philharmonic Youth Orchestra * * *

serving the Metro-East area and providing free concerts to the community
under the direction of Dr. Leon Burke III


Students with a good understanding of music and a strong two year minimum instrumental experience may try out for placement in the youth orchestra.

There are two divisions within the orchestra:
Collegium Musicum - the main orchestra
and the Virtuosi - advanced ensembles
by conductor's choice.

Rehearsals are held on Mondays,
5:00-6:30 p.m.for the Collegium
and Thursdays, 5:30-7 p.m. for the Virtuosi

We are currently accepting registrations for the 2010-11
concert season. Download one and mail it in today!

Parents and Musicians - Please check the bulletin board at the
hall for any announcements or updates. That is also the place
where you can sign up to bring snacks or needed ingredients
for the soda float.

Sodas for the floats can be brought to the hall on
Monday during rehearsal or on Saturday at noon.
Bring ice cream buckets to the church on Saturday.
If you are helping bring a scooper with you.
We thank you for your contribution and participation.

The concert date and location is at the bottom of this page.
All musicians must report at 12 noon; concert starts at 2 pm.
Concert attire: black pants/skirts; a red shirt will be provided.
Concert and the reception following is free to the public.
Volunteers are needed to help transport equipments that day
from and to the Philharmonic Hall.

ATTENTION MUSICIANS:
Seating auditions for new and returning musicians for the
2010-11 season will be held at the Philharmonic Hall on
Saturday, Aug 21 (4-6 pm) and Monday, Aug 23 (5:30-7:30 pm).
The season begins on Monday August 30, 2010 at 5:00 p.m.
